Blount Walk Across Tennessee is a team-based walking program. The teams are encouraged to cumulatively walk the equivalent of the length of Tennessee (about 500 miles) or more, over a six-week period. Team members do not have to walk together. Some may prefer to walk outside, while others walk on a treadmill. The team who walks the farthest “across Tennessee” will win, but everyone who participates will take home a healthy habit – walking for fitness.

Key Dates and Deadlines:
REPORTING DEADLINES:
- Captains will report mileage for their team each Monday by 5:00pm via “Weekly Mileage Reporting Form”. For reporting purposes, each week will begin on Monday and conclude on Sunday.
- Example: Spring 2024 week #1 for Blount Walks begins Monday March 4th-Sunday March 10th. You will add up your teams mileage and report to the Google Form that Sunday or by Monday by midnight.
- Weekly Winners will be announced each week on Wednesdays.
WINNERS ANNOUNCED:
- Mark you calendars! Friday, April 19th 4:00pm via Zoom Video Conference. A link will be sent to all captains.
Prizes
1ST – 3RD PLACE PRIZES:
- The top three teams that walked the most miles will win spectacular prizes.
PRIZE DRAWING:
- Every team that walks 500 miles or more will have their name in the drawing for great prizes.
