Team Up Tennessee - Blount County
Mission
TEAM UP TN brings together state partners with county level community stakeholders to implement evidence-based strategies to increase breast and cervical cancer screening.
The goal of the partnership is to increase participation in the breast and cervical cancer screening program available to each county health department. The target audience is women who have never or rarely been screened and who are living in counties with persistently high breast and/or cervical cancer mortality.

Accomplishments
Team Up Blount County is celebrating! Accomplishments include:
- 22,000 Direct and Indirect Educational Contacts
- Understanding Breast and Cervical Cancers - Educational Program
- Free Women's Exam Day (Offered in partnership with Blount County Health Department)
- Susan G. Komen Foundation Funding ($2,000)
- Free Women's Exam Day (Offered in partnership with Loudon County Health Department)
- Community Cancer Awareness Day (Sponsored by Hope for Today Cancer Support Group)
- In-Service Training for DHS Case Workers (Conducted by Blount County Health Department)
- Distribution of 500+ breast and cervical cancer educational materials
- Educational Programming
- Numerous Mass Media News Releases
